I've always been the one who took the family snapshots with a basic Kodak Instamatic. One nice summer day I decided to take pictures of my family hanging round the front of our Brooklyn house. That was real interesting. A few weeks later I bought a used Canon GIII-17 rangefinder, loaded it with color print film, and went exploring in Prospect Park. My neighborhood was too dangerous at the time, so I began roaming round Manhattan with no destination in mind. Now 40 years later that's still true. Me, two cameras, and occasionally my sweet wife Patricia.
